Wandering – Tunghai Arts Street 东海艺术街

DSC_2316

If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle at the night markets or busy streets in the evening, consider going to Tunghai Arts Street. I went there alone when the sun was going to set, and I think I wouldn’t have enjoyed it in any better way.

It’s a small street with numerous quaint shops and cafes, and various interesting graffiti on the walls. I loved how there were not too many scooters or cars around as compared to the streets opposite at Tunghai Night Market.

Before I went to Tunghai Arts Street, my roommate mentioned that there wasn’t much to do there, and I have to agree. But it’s precisely because there wasn’t much to do, that I was able to stroll the street at a slow pace, appreciating the breath of fresh air Tunghai Arts Street offered.

After visiting the shops, I settled myself at a quiet café with a good book, and spent a lovely evening on my own at Tunghai Arts Street.
