バスがほぼ無料！台中の魅力
台北や高雄にはMRT（地下鉄）があるけど、台中にはないし、どうやって台中市内を移動しよう。。と不安に思っていませんか？台中は台湾で最も交通費が安い街です。
「悠遊卡」さえ持っていれば、台中市内の10キロ圏内で無料でバスが利用できます！台南や高雄でも悠遊卡による割引は割とあるのですが、最も長距離で割引が効くのは台中です。年齢や国籍にかかわらずみんな無料になります。すばらしい！ありがたい！

With the campus of Tunghai University being hailed as one of the most attractive universities in Taiwan, it only makes sense that a chapel would be designed to become one of Taiwan’s most sought after landmarks. As the project was finished in November of 1963, artist and architect Chen Chi-Kwan along with the notorious architect I.M. Pei, worked for over a year to design the famous curved chapel.

Taichung is not really a “morning person.” Despite an abundant cafe culture, most of these lovely tea and coffee spots don’t open their doors until well after 11am (some of them literally list their opening time as “usually before noon”) which is fine for my second coffee, but I need the first one within 20 minutes of waking up. The city definitely comes alive in the nighttime, with markets, clubs, and bars all going strong until the wee hours. Here are some places to check out after the sun goes down. Continue reading
Daken, une marche pas comme les autres.
Non loin du centre de la ville de Taichung vous avez la possibilité de vous balader en montagne,. une marche pas très commune car elle se passera pour la plupart du temps sur des genres d’échelles en rondin de bois fixées à même le sol des crêtes de la montagne. Une autre particularité est qu’il y a dix différents chemins possibles. Des ascensions à presque 90 degrés ou des promenades dans les vergers tout le monde y trouvera son compte.
Hunting for Art at Tunghai Art Street
With it being my last day in Taichung before heading back to the states, I wanted to go to one last tourist spot, but preferably one that was close enough to walk to. Enter Tunghai Arts Street. With it being a 20 minute walk from T-Life Hostel there wasn’t much of a hassle getting there. What I read about the street as I was walking dated the street back to 1980’s, but featured a a look into Taiwan’s historic look and feel.
